Two ways in
City Scrapers has two kinds of readers. Pick the one that matches your job today.
I'm building a scraper
You've been assigned a city and need to write a spider that produces valid meeting records. Start here:
- Building Scrapers - the development workflow, from source analysis to PR.
- Writing a spider - the spider patterns, parse methods, and common pitfalls.
- Schema reference - the twelve fields every record must have, with examples.
I'm reviewing one
Someone opened a PR with scraper output and you need to check it. Start here:
- QA & Review - the review workflow and the rubric.
- QA rubric - field-by-field checks to apply against real output.
- Meetings Viewer - load the scraper's JSON and inspect it as a browsable table.
Both paths end at the same place: a PR with correct scraper output. The docs and the Meetings Viewer exist to make that faster. If something here is wrong, fix it - these docs live in the same repo as the app.
